Carhartt is a family-owned American company founded in '89 by Hamilton Carhartt, based in Dearborn, Michigan. Carhartt started out making clothing for the railroad workers but it evolved into a mainstream brand due to it's research into extending materials durability, use of heavy duty threads, flame-resistant fabrics and more. Nowadays Carhartt WIP (founded in '94) is a staple of streetwear and pop culture. The iconic Carhartt WIP logo represents durability and quality.
This jacket from Carhartt is constructed from a polyester and cotton canvas for a heavy duty feel; a taffeta lining and pile top collar add that comfort and style. A full frontal placket ensures for an easy wear, with the military label adding that OG style.
